Text language and spoken language
A subtitle selection changes on-screen text. To change the dub, inspect audio choices in the application playing the movie.
Choose the track that belongs to the edit
Different cuts or introductions can change subtitle timing. A track with the right title is not necessarily synchronized to every edition.
Make captions comfortable
Use the active player’s size, outline or background controls where provided. Try a bright scene and a dark scene at your normal viewing distance.
When text is missing
Check that captions are enabled and that the requested language is offered. A title’s original-language field is not an inventory of every subtitle track.
